Resumen

To determine the risk factors associated with incomplete abortion in women treated at the José Carlos Mariátegui Maternal and Child Center, VMT- Lima, 2021. Material and method. Study with a quantitative approach, non experimental design of cases and controls. The population consisted of the medical records of 560 pregnant women, of which 46 cases with incomplete abortion and 46 controls without incomplete abortion were selected. The data collection instrument was a 16-item collection form prepared by the author. Results. The risk factors significantly associated with incomplete abortion were the occupation of housewife (OR= 4.807, p=0.003), the threat of abortion in the current pregnancy (OR=3.968, p=0.011) and the absence of prenatal control in pregnancy (OR=32.762, p=0.000). The protective factors for incomplete abortion were found to be from a rural area (OR=0.056, p=0.001) and having one or two prenatal check-ups in the current pregnancy (OR=0.000, p=0.000). Conclusions. There are sociodemographic and obstetric risk factors associated with incomplete abortion.
